Mayor Villaraigosa publicly expressed support for the South Central Farm last night live on KCAL 9 local TV news. When asked to respond to emails sent to in to the station about the farm, the mayor stated his support and said that he was trying to negotiate with the developer Ralph Horowitz. He also said he was trying to find a way to buy the land. He stated that the city did not have the funds and was not specific about where the funds could be found. He did however encourage people to send in money to help raise funds to buy the land.
