The 8th Annual Cesar Chavez Walk will take place on Olvera Street this Saturday, April 1 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
There is every reason to believe that this year’s annual Cesar Chavez Walk could be the largest walk ever. With the event coming one week after the massive Gran Marcha organizers are anticipating a record turnout.

Last year, the 2005 march: On Saturday, April 2nd, 2005, thousands of students and workers took the streets of East LA in Monterey Park to celebrate the success of the United Farm Workers (UFW) and its leader, Cesar Chavez, in the historic Delano Grape Strike which led to the signing of the first farmworker labor contracts in 1970. 2005 photos: 2005 (1) ||2005 (2)
