International Solidarity Days for the Farm are taking place July 7-10, bringing people from around the world together in solidarity with the farmers of South Central L.A. Solidarity Days are being held to raise awareness about the farmers’ struggle against developers and individual politicians in addressing the quality of life in South Central Los Angeles, one of the city’s poorest neighborhoods, and to let local politicians know that the world is watching. Like-minded supporters all over the world want to make their cities more livable, reflecting the rapidly growing global movement for food security, green development, urban farming and environmental and social justice for all.
