BAKERSFIELD, July 31, 2006 – A group of activists in Bakersfield staged a protest outside and inside a meeting of the right wing hate group, the Pacific Justice Institute, to call attention to the group’s religious extremism, homophobia and intolerance toward the reproductive rights of women. Activists were able to rush the stage inside the hall and disrupt the event. The action was captured by TV news crews and aired on local TV news stations.
