LOS ANGELES, August 12, 2006 – Estimates ranging from 500 to 1,000 people marched in downtown Los Angeles this Saturday in support of the people of Lebanon and Palestine. Although primarily a demonstration against the current Israeli aggression in Lebanon and Palestine, marchers also called for peace in Iraq, Afghanistan and the entire region. The march was peaceful and no arrests have been reported.
Demonstration Calls for Peace in the Middle East
