Latest
public opinion polls show that close to 70% of the public oppose the war in Iraq. Yet both the president and the newly elected congress are considering plans to escalate the war and send more troops to Iraq.
The call for protests has been made by a number of different peace groups. Various peace organizations are encouraging people to gather at local vigil sites or at any government or corporate office associated with the war and demand an immediate end to the war.
