The Taco Bell Mini Tour has reached LA. In the wake of the terrible events of September 11, the Coalition of Immokolee Workers (CIW) postponed the much anticipated Taco Bell Truth Tour, which was scheduled to commence on Sept 13. However, the farmworkers' struggle -- for a decent wage, benefits, and better working conditions -- continues. Hence, the "Mini" Tour was organized. Over the past ten days a small group of farmworkers and CIW organizers have travelled from Florida, north through Chicago, and onto the Bay Area and now Southern California; raising awareness of the on-going boycott of Taco Bell. Today (October 16), the Tour will be making a stop at Taco Bell's Corporate headquarters in Irvine. So far, Taco Bell has refused to talk with CIW. Stay Tuned.
