Lynne Cheney & Joe Lieberman, that's who! In 1995 they co-founded an
organization now known as the American Council of Trustees and Alumni
(ACTA). ACTA has recently produced a report "Defending Civilization: How
Our Universities Are Failing America, and What Can Be Done About It."
It cites 117 nefarious examples showing that "colleges and university
faculty have been the weak link in America's response to the attack."
These include statements like "[We should] build bridges and
relationships, not simply bombs and walls," and "An eye for an eye
leaves the world blind." The original report, which named almost all
the people cited, has been removed from
ACTA's website, but is still
available here.
