Hundreds of people marched through the streets of LA today (March 8, 2002), International Women's Day, for the
3rd Annual Global Women's Strike. Under the banner "Invest in Caring, Not Killing! Welfare, Not Warfare," the group made their way down Wilshire to MacArthur Park, stopping to demonstrate at the Bank of America, Social Security Office, Welfare Office and the Mexican Consulate.
