October 22, 2002 is the 7th annual National Day of Protest to Stop Police Brutality, Repression and the Criminalization of a Generation.

Meanwhile, anti-police brutality activist and spoken-word artist Truthmaze (William Harris) and two friends were attacked by plainclothes police officers in Minneapolis while flyering Saturday night. Ironically, they were flyering for the upcoming October 22nd Day of Protest Against Police Brutality. The officers apparently did not identify themselves; the activists defended themselves and as a result are facing charges.
