While ABC news has gone out of its way to portray Lee Harvey Oswald as the lone assassin of JFK just prior to the 40th anniversary of that day, 77% of Americans dismiss the conclusions of the Warren Commission. Today, the Bush Administration is attempting to control the findings of the 9/11 commission (officially called The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States )
Upon the demands of the White house to control who views what presidential briefings pertaining to 9/11 and demands the review of the notes taken on those documents, Former Senator and 9/11 commissioner, Max Cleland, stated, "If this decision stands, I, as a member of the commission,
cannot look any American in the eye, especially family
members of victims, and say the commission had full access.
This investigation is now compromised."
It is, in fact, some of the families of the victims that have taken matters into their own hands by forming the only ostensibly independent commission on the 9/11 atrocities. They have assembled a series of questions about what lies (no pun intended) behind the deaths of their family members.
