American Friends Service Committee and
Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace laid hundreds of boots depicting US military deaths in Iraq on federal property. At the center of the “boot field” an eight foot high stack of shoes were placed to illustrate the 10,000 plus Iraqi civilian deaths. Throughout time the higher message has remained constant; “War is Terrorism, every person and faith has the power of love to overcome violence and injustice.”
