South Central Farmers are about to lose the gardens which they use to grow and harvest vegetables and fruits. These gardens were created 12 years ago by the Los Angeles Food Bank and temporarily given to low income inner-city residents who use the gardens to feed their families and supplement their small paychecks by selling their produce. The farmers are asking city officials to retain the land and to find another location for the warehouses that the developers want to build. They urge the community to help them by
signing their petition,
