Thousands attend silent peace walk in MacArthur Park, Los Angeles
An estimated 3,000 to 4,000 people took part in an silent walk for peace through the streets surrounding MacArthur Park this Saturday. The event was organized by Deer Park Monasterys and featured world renowned Vietnamese peacemaker Thich Nhat Hanh. Also taking part in the walk was peace activist Cindy Sheehan.
