LOS ANGELES, October 27, 2005 - Anti-war vigils on street corners throughout the Southern California were held yesterday to mark both military and civilian dead and to demand immediate withdrawal of all US forces from Iraq. Coordinated by the American’s Friends Service Committee and Moveon.org vigils were held nationwide. Moveon.org is reporting over 100,000 registered people that took part in the vigils. Local vigils were widely covered by the local TV news. There are reports of close to 200 people in Westwood and similar numbers in Studio City, Pasadena, West Hollywood and many other communities.
