Understanding Jurisdiction (tags)

In all of history there has been but one successful protest against an income tax. It is little understood in that light, primarily because the remnants of protest groups still exist, but no longer wish to appear to be "anti-government." They don’t talk much about these roots. Few even know them. We need to go back in time about 400 years to find this success. It succeeded only because the term "jurisdiction" was still well understood at that time as meaning "oath spoken." "Juris," in the original Latin meaning, is "oath." "Diction" as everyone knows, means "spoken." The protest obviously didn’t happen here. It occurred in England. Given that the origins of our law are traced there, most of the relevant facts in this matter are still applicable in this nation. Here’s what happened.

The Troops Don't Support the Constitution (tags)

Every U.S. soldier takes an express and solemn oath to "support and defend the Constitution." That oath, however, is a sham because the troops do not support or defend the Constitution. Instead, when it comes to war the troops follow another oath they take - to obey the orders of the president, and they do this without regard to whether such orders violate the Constitution.

House Votes 416 to 3 to Condemn Court for Tossing Pledge of Allegiance (tags)

Not to be outdone by the US Senate, which voted 99 to 0 to support the illegal, religious, reactionary Pledge of Allegiance, the House of Representatives voted 416 to 3 to condemn the 9th Circuit Court's excellent Church/State separation ruling, thus proving that they, like the US Senate and Gov Gray Davis all are proud of violating their oath of office which mandates they support the Constitution, including the First Amendment, which mandates separation of church and state.
