Liberals Are Being Dishonest On Gun Control (tags)
There are few things more dangerous to a nation’s citizenry than when its leaders decide to turn on their own or selected groupings of their own people. Tyrants should be feared far more than various types of weapons—especially when tyrants have no restrictions on their selection of weapons. The progressive idea of the 2nd Amendment was a notion that common people should have the right to defend themselves against tyrannical governments (including and especially their own who could turn on them). THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT AND ITS CURRENT DYSFUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL DOES NOT WARRANT TRUST ENOUGH FOR THE AMERICAN CITIZENRY TO HANDOVER GUNS TO THIS CORRUPTED STATUS QUO.
Uncovering the Fracture of the System (tags)
Uncovering the fracture and the dislocations of this system, proposing changes and actively interfering is the optimistic side. The collective repression of problems is carried out to a spectacular extent. The welfare state and democracy cannot be separated.
They have a limit range of maybe 65 miles and they are very expensive compared to normal cars with the Volt costing $40,000. I suspect that many tree huggers who thought they were buying a car that used clean electricity to power it will be disappointed when they discover that dirty coal fueled power plants produce the energy they use to charge their allegedly clean electric car.

MOXIE Stages Topical Play “Bleeding Kansas” (tags)
MOXIE, San Diego's women-run feminist theatre, is presenting Kathryn Walat's "Bleeding Kansas," a dramatization of one of the bloodiest political conflicts in American history: the fight in 1855-56 over whether Kansas would become a free or slave state. This dress rehearsal for the Civil War wrenched the country apart and, in MOXIE's hands, becomes powerful, vivid, well-acted drama. "Bleeding Kansas" plays through Sunday, November 2 at Diversionary Theatre, 4545 Park Boulevard in University Heights, San Diego.
Spirituality is a new consciousness and allegiance based on interedependence, a way of resistance to militarism and greed. Resistance is part of our nature as antibodies are part of our bodies. As carrots and beans grow together, people can coexist. Diversity is not a threat.

Barack Obama and the "End" of Racism (tags)
Obama doesn’t represent peace – he represents an expansion of war and the power of Empire. He’s even more extreme on this than Bush himself, except in his public rhetoric. He doesn’t represent the real and legitimate needs, desires and hopes of Black people - he refuses to speak openly of the most fundamental issues affecting Black people. He doesn’t represent the “end of racism,” but the perpetuation of oppression in a new guise.
Why Bush Doesn’t Have to Suspend the Constitution! (tags)
President George W. Bush doesn’t have to mimic Pakistan's dictator, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, and suspend the Constitution, since he doesn’t have any opposition. The two major political parties are controlled by the same Wire Pullers. Meanwhile, an “Axis of Zionists,” Michael Mukasey at Justice, Michael Chertoff at Homeland Security and Joshua Bolten at the WH, now have a choke hold on key positions in our government. America is in deep doo-doo!
Libertarian Tom Rawles Supports the war in Iraq (tags)
Libertarian Tom Rawles in this article seems to support the reasons for invading Iraq in this article. And he certainly doesn’t denounce the Iraq invasion as wrong from the Libertarian party’s platform that says initiation of force is wrong. Tom Rawles was quoted in an earlier article this month in the Tribune saying that he supported the invasion of Iraq, but that now he is against the war and thinks we should leave. Tom Rawles in this article doesn’t say he agrees with the reason he quotes. He merely says the government gave us these reasons for going to war in Iraq.
The leader incapable of leading has three characteristics that define his administration: arrogance, incompetence and cynicism.. According to attorney John Yoo, Bush can wage any war at any time against anyone without being bound to any laws.

LIVING LA VIDA RICH AND POOR IN MEXICO CITY (tags)
6 APRIL 2006. MEXICO CITY MONTHLY.- It’s a tragic-cynical reality show. The street is a mesh where rich and poor mingle without suspicion, but not because they want to be good neighbors. The rich have no guarantee of happiness, but they do have a secure present. This will continue because the poor don't hate them yet, since they can’t even imagine the macabre nature of income distribution. When they find out, everything could burst into crime.
"People shouldn’t be afraid of their governments…governments should be afraid of their people." The following is a review of "V for Vendetta" by James Wolcott that appeared on the Vanity Fair website. Why John Kerry doesn’t deserve your support (tags)
For people who genuinely care about opposing the U.S. military machine and about standing up for justice and against oppression, there are many good reasons to vote against George Bush. But there are no good ones to vote for John Kerry. Kerry doesn’t represent an alternative to Bush, but rather another form of the same political program that Bush stands for--sometimes presented with a kinder, gentler face, and sometimes not even that. We deserve better than this two-party system which consistently produces a choice between two evils.
