Full endorsements for San Diego voters in the June 5 primary election. As in 2010, in virtually every race Zenger's is recommending every Democrat over every Republican, not because the Democrats (with a few exceptions) are that progressive but because the Republicans are so reactionary they want to abolish the social safety net, virtually eliminate civil rights, workers', consumers' and environmental protections, and transform the U.S.as radically as the Nazis transformed Germany in 1933.

San Diego activist Chris Bricker organizes for Proposition 7, on the ballot this November 4, to force utilities to purchase 50 percent of their power from renewable sources by 2025. He talks about the reasons he signed on the campaign β and why utilities like Pacific Gas & Electric and Southern California Edison are pumping millions of dollars into phony "grass-roots" campaigns to defeat it.
Alexander: Lower Gasoline Prices, Still No Bargains (tags)
Within the past two months gasoline prices have been on a steady decline; in some areas of Southern California prices have dipped below $2.60 per gallon. Stewart Alexander, with the Peace and Freedom Party, admits the lower prices are good for consumers; however he says, βIt is not good enough; we need to have gasoline prices below $2.25 per gallon to benefit commuters and truck drivers, and Proposition 87 is not the answer.β
